The biggest breakthrough of the EOS M lies in Canon’s ability to contain an EOS System in a compact body, with full compatibility with new and existing EF and EF-S lenses (with adapter). It achieves this by using a non-reflex mechanism that allows all its components to be housed in a slim and lightweight body. EOS M is by far the most accessible EOS camera providing the same level of photographic brilliance of a DSLR.

Canon lenses

The greatest benefit of a DSLR is its versatility that comes with using interchangeable lenses. Like other EOS cameras, the EOS M is able to take on the full repertoire of EF and EF-S lenses with the Mount Adapter EF-EOS M, greatly expanding the user’s creativity. In full focus

With 3 enhanced AF modes, the EOS lets you focus on your subject quickly and easily. For capturing action shots or shooting in low light conditions, select the Quick Mode, which uses a fast 9-point AF system to locate the subject. The Face Detection AF works together with Auto Lighting Optimizer to ensure proper exposure while focusing on subject's faces. For close-up shots and timed exposures, select the Live Mode for automatic contrast detection smoothly and quickly. With these 3 Smart Auto functions, you'll never lose focus again.

Integrated cleaning system

When dusty travel conditions threaten to mar a perfect picture, the EOS Integrated Cleaning System does the job. A Self Cleaning Sensor Unit uses ultrasonic waves to repel dust and dirt that might cause dark spots on your images, while the innovative Dust Delete function is able to first record and store dust position and size, before deleting it from the image via an application software.

FULL HD movie recording

By using the bevy of editing tools in ZoomBrowser EX or ImageBrowser, you can also cut and polish your recorded movie into the masterpiece you dreamed it would be. Alternatively, you may record a short video using the Video Snapshot Function and edit your short clips without the need of a computer!
